Shane Burns is celebrating his 60th birthday by any number of epic actions spanning skiing and writing astrophysics texts. He invited me to join him in some gentle but lovely backcountry skiing in Teton National Park. Here are some images taken by Shane and by me as we ‘skinned’ up toward the high peaks and linked-turned our way down with excellent early spring conditions – a firm base and afternoon corn snow. We had an excellent time – and plan to return for the upcoming total eclipse of the sun — Aug. 21, 2017!!
